Sources claim the sound wall off 127 will be done this month

Posted

It’s early October, and for many living near the proposed sound wall that means its time to get to work.
MDOT has promised these neighbors off of US-127 northbound in Lansing, a sound wall for almost a year.

Cars, trucks, motorcycles, you name it - they all cruise by on 127 creating a lot of noise and nearby residents just want the sound wall up that has been promised.

Construction was set to start back up, that’s right, back up as it was started once before but never finished. So this past summer it was supposed to start back up.

MDOT's prime contractor, Toebe Construction subcontracted to ADL Systems Incorporated out of Portland to build and install the 1400 panels that will make up the wall. However, it’s been months since we last reported on the construction and there still hasn’t been any movement on it.
