"Social Equity Program" reviewed by Michigan Marijuana Agency

LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency has revealed the details of its "Social Equity Program."

The program is supposed to help disadvantaged communities get involved in the marijuana industry.

Businesses in these areas could benefit from a 60% reduction in application, license and renewal fees.

The program also hopes to offer educational resources.

Michigan has identified 19 eligible communities eligible for this program, with East Lansing being one of them.
