Governor Snyder has activated the National Guard to help hand out bottled water and filters in Flint.
The governor said the executive order is intended to bolster outreach to flint residents.
Volunteers and police have been going door to door with bottled water and filters.
The crisis comes after state health officials confirmed elevated blood lead levels in children.
