As the flags across Michigan are flying at half-staff today to honor the victims of the Nice, France attack, Gov. Rick Snyder is asking to keep flags lowered to honor the Baton Rouge officers killed Sunday.

“All of Michigan is mourning the loss of the three fallen officers. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their loved ones and the Baton Rouge community during these troubling times,” Snyder said.

To honor the fallen officers, the flags will remain lowered until sunset on Friday, July 22.
