"I don't like them- no sir i don't like them at all," said truck driver David Bunch.
He's talking about the roads. And this winter storm has turned them into a slushy nightmare for drivers.
"Really slippery,” one driver said. “Lotta cars in the ditch."
"Don't look off for a second," another driver said.
Or you could lose control of your vehicle.
"I saw a lot of people slid into the ditch,” Bunch said. “A few hit a retaining wall. It's been slow going- the whole way."
And keeping your speed low is one of the best ways to stay safe.
"I go slow and I look really far ahead and look for flashing lights, brake lights, anything that would clue me in that there's something not good ahead," Bunch said.
And even more snow is coming our way.
“Today it's this consistent snow and it's been bad going the whole way so it's been a rough weekend for driving," Jeff Embrey said. He was driving to Grand Rapids.
And that means it's been a busy weekend for Ingham County Road Commission. They've been salting the roads day in and day out- but with the amount of snow we're getting, it can be hard to keep the roadways clear
"You just try to do the best you can because even with all the modern equipment you can't beat Mother Nature," Steve Oswald with Ingham County Road Commission said.
But the salt will eventually kick in and make the roadways safe again.
"Hopefully I can get there in one piece,” Bunch said. “And everybody else too."
