Sketch released of suspect in attempted abduction case

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WSYM) - Police have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection to an attempted abduction.

A 15-year-old girl told police she was in her front yard in the 100 block of Minges Circle in Battle Creek Tuesday when a vehicle pulled up and a man asked for directions.

The man then attempted to pull the 15-year-old girl into the vehicle and drive away.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 20s with thin, short and curly hair.

Police ask anyone who lives on Christopher Lane near Minges Road to check home surveillance cameras for an SUV/crossover type vehicle with a black bottom and light blue top on Tuesday, July 17 between 2:15 pm and 3:00 pm.
