Crews worked to clear the scene Sunday morning after a driver smashed into a utility pole, causing a fire.
It happened just before 4 a.m. in Meridian Township on Park Lake Road south of Burcham Drive.
The fire was quickly put out, but the utility pole was knocked across the road.
Police expected the road would be clear by 8 a.m.
The driver is okay, but the cause of the crash is under investigation.
