EAST LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan State University Museum will host the first-ever Virtual MSU Federal Credit Union Dinosaur Dash from Sunday, Oct. 4 – Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020.

The MSU Museum is home to the area's only full-mounted dinosaur casts, Allosaurus and Stegosaurus, which gives the MSU Federal Credit Union Virtual Dinosaur Dash its distinctive name. This year marks the 35th annual presentation of this fall-time favorite race and a benefit for the MSU Museum’s educational programs. Run or walk a 5K anywhere between Sunday, October 4 – Saturday, October 10. Wear a dinosaur costume, test your fitness, and enjoy a race experience while supporting the MSU Museum. Participants will be able to submit virtual times, download finisher’s certificates, and upload photos from their virtual activities!

Three special runs are designed for the younger crowd:• Museum Mile: For youth 12 and under, run or walk one-mile• Mini-Dash: For kids 6 and under, a 200 yard dash• Diaper Dash: For kids 3 and under, a 200 yard dash

MSU Museum Director of Education Denice Blair remarks, “The MSU Federal Credit Union continues to be one of the MSU Museum’s greatest supporters of educational and community-building experiences for visitors. Thanks to MSUFCU’s generosity, the Museum is able to make this amazing event happen in a new virtual format for the 35th anniversary year. Please join the fun!”

Registration prices vary depending on age and T-shirt styles selected. All kids receive an official Dinosaur Dash medallion, quality short-sleeved T-shirt, bib, and finisher’s e-certificate.
