EAST LANSING, Mich. — Sidewalk and intermittent lane closures along Grand River Avenue in East Lansing will begin Thursday, May 23.

The closures will allow crews to remove a covered pedestrian walkway.

It will also allow workers with their improvement work on streetscapes and sidewalks in the area.

This is all part of The Hub redevelopment project.

This area is located at the southeast corner of Grand River Avenue and Bogue Street.

The work will require intermittent eastbound lane closures on Grand River Avenue, closures of the north-south and east-west crosswalks at the Bogue-Grand River intersection, and a closure of the sidewalk on the south side of Grand River Avenue, from Bogue Street to Cedar Street.

The intermittent lane closures will be in place for approximately three days, while the crosswalk and sidewalk closures will be in place through Aug. 1.

East Lansing officials are encouraging pedestrians to follow detour signs and exercise caution in the area.
