A brother and sister from Kalamazoo are recovering in the hospital after their car collided with a semi-truck Sunday morning.
The accident happened at 2:45 AM on I-94 and Gibbs Road in Jackson County.
The semi-truck's trailer ran over the front of end of their car.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, the 21-year-old female driver and her 15-year-old brother were going westbound on I-94 when their car struck a deer which caused the airbags to deploy.
The driver lost control and crossed the median and hit the semi-truck.
The siblings were taken to Henry Ford Allegiance. The sister does have serious injuries.
Deputies said the siblings were wearing seatbelts and alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor.
