Shots fired during road rage incident

SPRINGFIELD, Mich. — A Battle Creek man was arrested after a road rage incident Saturday night.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office says they received multiple calls saying one car was chasing another and a passenger was shooting.

The victim said their car was hit by the gunfire.

It happened near Goguac Street and N 21st Street in Springfield just after 8 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies arrested an 18-year-old man, and he's being held on various weapons charges and assault with intent to murder.

In a release, police said, "...both drivers felt slighted over a traffic violation."
