DURAND, Mich. (AP) — Authorities in Shiawassee County are warning residents about a phone scam that is targeting grandparents.
The county sheriff's office issued the alert after receiving several reports that elderly residents of Owosso and Durand have received calls from a young man asking that they send him money so he can post bond to get out of jail.
If you receive a call like this, report it to police.
