The name of a cyclist who was killed Saturday after he was struck by a vehicle has been identified by Eaton County Sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office reports the cyclist is Randy Ray Robinson, a 52-year-old man from St. John’s.

Eaton County Sheriff’s Office states in a release that witnesses said Robinson was biking eastbound on St. Joe Highway and failed to stop at the intersection of Mulliken Road. He was struck by a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old female, who was traveling southbound.

The driver attempted to swerve to avoid hitting Robinson, according to the release, and Robinson struck the passenger door of the vehicle.

The incident happened just after noon on Saturday, and Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
