With snow expected to continue into the weekend, the Jackson County Office of the Sheriff is wanting to remind residents of proper snow removal, so residents don’t get ticketed.
According to the office, snow should not be pushed into the street or onto sidewalk, as this is a violation of the law.
Anyone disposing of snow into the street may be ticket, the office says, and it also creates hazardous conditions for drivers and complicates the job of clearing roads.
The sheriff’s office has experienced several incidents like this from the last winter storm.
