Sexually abusive materials found in Lansing man's home

A Lansing man was arrested on Wednesday for having sexually abusive material on children.

The Michigan State Police (MSP) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the Ingham County Probation Department arrested 47-year-old, Scott Ball.

Ball's residence was searched along with a smart device.

He has been charged with three counts of using a computer to commit a crime and three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material.

He was arraigned on all counts and given bond at $10,000.

Conviction would result in four years for using a computer to commit a crime and four years for possessing child sexually abusive material.

The MSP Computer Crimes Unit encourages parents to speak to their children about the safe use of the internet. There are many resources available to parents to assist in keeping children safe online.
