LANSING, Mich. — The city of Lansing will be closing part of West Mount Hope Avenue for sewer work for the next several weeks.
The city says West Mount Hope Avenue between South Washington Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be closed to facilitate sewer separation and underground utility construction.
The work is expected to wrap up by late July.
The posted detour for this closure is as follows:
·For eastbound traffic on W. Mt. Hope Avenue: south on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to W. Holmes Road; then, east on W. Holmes Road to S. Cedar Street; then, north on S. Cedar Street to return to Mt. Hope Avenue.
· For westbound traffic on W. Mt. Hope Avenue: south on S. Cedar Street to W. Holmes Road; then, west on W. Holmes Road to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard; then, north on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to return to W. Mt. Hope Avenue.
