INGHAM COUNTY, Mich. — Ingham County Drain Commissioner Patrick Lindemann announced the intersection of Eifert Road and Nichols Road in Aurelius and Delhi Charter Townships will be closed on Wednesday, July 31.

Crews will be doing work on a new storm sewer system in the area.

The new storm sewer will relieve longstanding flooding problems within the Aurelius and Delhi Consolidated Drain, according to a press release.

The intersection will be closed to all traffic. Northbound and Southbound traffic will be detoured to Aurelius Road via Wilcox Road on the North and Columbia Road on the south.

Eastbound and Westbound traffic will be detoured to Columbia Road via. Aurelius Road on the East and Onondaga Road on the West. Residents whose homes are within the construction zone will continue to have access to their homes during construction but will not be able to pass through the intersection.

Access to Ironwood Links Golf Course will be from North Eifert Road during this closure.

The intersection is expected to reopen on Friday, August 2.
