EAST LANSING, Mich. — The sentencing hearing for Larry Nassar began a year ago Wednesday in Ingham County.
On January 16, 2018, survivor Kyle Stephens read the first victim impact statement in Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Rosemarie Aquilina's courtroom.
In all, 156 survivors read victim impact statements over a seven day period.
The last victim impact statement was read on January 24, 2018 by Rachael Denhollander, the first woman to publicly accuse Nassar of sexual abuse.
Nassar was sentenced by Judge Aquilina to 40 to 175 years in prison on sexual assault charges shortly after.
