Senator Debbie Stabenow and fellow Democrat Senator Gary Peters are demanding to know why a pharmaceutical company raised the price of an "anti-overdose drug" by more than 600%.
Naloxone is commonly sold under the brand name Narcan and can saves the lives of people who overdose on opioids.
Kaleo Pharmaceuticals raised the price from $690.00 to $4500.00 per dose.
Senators Stabenow and Peters co-signed a letter asking the company's C.E.O. to explain the increase.
