Sen. Debbie Stabenow to Swear In Rep. Elissa Slotkin at Ceremony in Lansing This Sunday

LANSING, Mich. — This Sunday, January 13th, U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow will perform the ceremonial swearing-in of Rep. Elissa Slotkin at an event in Lansing. Sen. Stabenow served as the U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 8th district from 1997-2000, the seat Rep. Slotkin now holds.

Rep. Elissa Slotkin was officially sworn in as the U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 8th district on the floor of the U.S. House on January 3rd. At the ceremonial swearing-in event in Lansing, Rep. Slotkin will speak directly with constituents about her commitment to serving all 8th district residents in her new role, including plans to build a robust constituent services operation to respond to issues affecting residents on the ground.

The event is free and open to the public. No ticket is required to attend.
