U.S. Education Secretary Betsy Devos made a stop in Michigan Tuesday to talk about the importance of STEM education.
STEM stands for "Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math".
Devos sat through a lesson with fifth and sixth graders at the Van Andel Education Institute in Grand Rapids.
She then checked out the culinary program and machine lab at Grand Rapids Community College.
The secretary also did a Q&A with students and staff.
