Demolition started Monday on Lansing's historic Scott Center House.
It's being torn down to make room for the Board of Water and Light's new central substation.
FOX 47 News reported about the BWLl and Habitat for Humanity worked out a deal to move the building to a new location and turn it into housing.
The plans fell through because a buyer couldn't be found. The BWL is working on a plan to move the Sunken Garden to a new spot.
