The family home of Republican Lieutenant Governor nominee Lisa Posthumus Lyons was destroyed by fire, according to a news release.
The fire happened Sunday in the home's garage in Alto. It will likely be a total loss, the campaign said.
"All of Lisa’s family members are accounted for and safe," said campaign spokesman John Sellek. "The Posthumus Lyons family is currently assessing the situation and determining where they will relocate temporarily."
In a news release, the family thanked everyone for their prayers and offers of assistance.
"They are very grateful for the firefighters, sheriffs, deputies, and first responders who rushed to the scene," said Sellek.
