School Closures and Their Effect on Parenting

LANSING, Mich. — The COVID-19 pandemic has redefined most major parts of Americans lives in significant ways. With millions of Americans working from home while simultaneously serving as primary caregivers to their children, there are bound to be fears, struggles, and the occasional Zoom call photo bomb.

In order to get a sense of how Americans with children at home were handling their roles as caregiver, teacher, and full-time worker, TOP Data surveyed 400 Americans with school-aged children and asked them a series of questions about the impact COVID-19 has had on the working lives.
