There's a consumer alert about tax fraud. U.S. taxpayers are at risk of having criminals steal their information to file false tax returns and certain people are more susceptible to it.
The FBI says over the past year, criminals have been targeting the homeless, prisoners, the deceased, military personnel, temporary visa holders, children and seniors.
That's because they're less likely to be aware of or receive notification that their identity has been stolen.
