A woman is seriously hurt in a presumed hit-and-run, and police are looking for help. DeWitt Township Police Chief Brian Russell tells FOX 47 News that the 30-year-old DeWitt Township woman was running north on Airport road sometime after 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Lying by the side of the road, she called 9-1-1 saying she had broken her leg while running.

A fire department emergency medical crew came to the scene. They saw the woman had multiple injuries and was in serious condition. They tell police it appears she had been hit by a car. Police say the woman did not say she was hit by a car originally, but can't remember much.

Police are searching the area for evidence.

Police ask that if anyone saw anything along Airport Road near Cutler road, a little northwest of DeWitt to please call the DeWitt Township Police at 517-669-6578.
