A man went into a store and demanded cash. Before he left, the suspect took the victim’s car keys, cell phone and landline phone, the Jackson County Sheriff reports.
The robbery happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Page Avenue in Summit Township.
Through the deputies investigation, they learned that a white male, approximately 35 years old, entered the business to demand money and indicated he had a weapon. The sheriff’s office reports no weapon was seen.
Along with the other items, the suspect did steal an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect left the area in the victim’s vehicle, and it was found abandoned a few miles away from the robbery location.
The sheriff’s office says a person of interest has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
