LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) - Most people would say driving through Friday night's snow storm was a nightmare
"It was so bad I literally saw three or four cars do 360’s in the middle of Cedar Street," Latasha Briggs said.
Snow was blown up and about everywhere. People could hardly see the road in those conditions.
"But then this morning everything was gone," Briggs said.
That's because salt truck drivers were ready for the storm. Ingham County Road Commission had a force of at least 30 trucks out since 6 a.m.
"Salted, scraped got up early, got everything done,” Carl Langham of Ingham County Road Commission said. Make sure people could go shopping. Work. Wherever they needed to go."
Although the main thoroughfares are plowed- there are still some trouble spots.
This afternoon an accident closed US-127 Northbound at Trowbridge. It involved two semis and the road was backed up for miles.
The side streets are still slippery too.
"A little bit of the backroads need a little more but overall we're doing pretty good," Langham said.
They’re prepared for any future storms.
"We're here ready to rock and roll," Langham said.
