Road work in Lansing that could affect your daily commute

The Lansing Board of Water and Light are working on two projects that could affect your travel.

The first project will be at the corner of E. Holmes Rd. and S. Cedar St. Work is being done on the west lane of southbound Cedar St. Traffic will be shifted into the turn lane and continue straight. Traffic will not be able to turn in either direction onto E. Holmes Rd. Detour signs will be posted.

For traffic going south on S. Cedar St., the detour will go west on Cavanaugh Rd. and north on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Traffic going north on S. Cedar St. will be detoured going west on E. Mt. Hope Ave. and south on S. Washington Ave.

The second project will be at the corner of E. Northrup St. and S. Cedar St. Work is being done on the south lane of eastbound Northrup St. and the west lane of southbound Cedar St. Traffic will be shifted into one lane going eastbound on E. Northrup St. and one lane going south on S. Cedar St.

Both projects are scheduled to start on Wednesday, June 13 and be completed by Sunday, June 17.
