LANSING, Mich. — A man will now serve four to 15 years for involuntary manslaughter.
Riley Spitler was found guilty of second degree murder back in January of 2016.
About a year ago, the court of appeals vacated his sentence, but the state's supreme court rejected that appeal.
Because of that, the appeals court instructed the trial judge to re-sentence the defendant under the new conviction.
