The restoration project for a historic church in downtown Lansing continues after it was damaged by high winds.
Wind gusts, back in March, caused a crack near the top of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The pastor later found pieces of debris and insulation on the floor. There was concern the 102-year-old building could collapse.
The church is now raising money online for its restoration project, which is says is more extensive than initially thought. Additional structural issues were found by construction crews.
It is estimated it will cost more than $1 million to restore the church. So far more than $550 has been raised.
