LANSING, Mich. — It's been over three months since Meridian Township approved an outside investigation into how the township mishandled a sexual complaint against Larry Nassar that was filed 15 years ago.

The township is expected to release an 88-page report detailing how the Meridian Township Police Department dismissed Brianne Randall Gay's complaint against Nassar.

She filed a police report against Nassar with Meridian Township Police in 2004.

Then 17-year-old Randall Gay was a soccer player seeing Nassar for scoliosis when she reported Nassar abused her during an appointment.

Meridian Township police decided not send it to the prosecutor because of Nassar's claim it was a legitimate medical procedure.

The township manager issued a public apology to Randall-Gay last year, saying police failed her for not forwarding the report.

The outside investigation was approved by the township after Randall Gay's one-year year consulting contract with the township ended.

Meridian Township hired her to help with it come up with a community-wide sexual assault prevention program.

The township and Randall-Gay have both received copies of 88-page report from the outside investigator.

The report is expected to be made public at 11 o'clock this morning
