MSU basketball sophomore, Nick Ward, will try for the NBA come draft time.
MSUspartans.com posted on March 29 that Ward will submit his name for the NBA draft this year, but that he won't hire an agent. That way he'll be eligible to be drafted for the NBA, but he can still weigh his options and return to Michigan State.
A quote from Izzo was posted on the article: “I fully support Nick’s decision to take the opportunity to explore his draft stock,” Head Coach Tom Izzo said. “He has continued to improve and worked very hard over the last two years to put himself in this position. The process will allow him to receive direct feedback and an assessment as to where he stands in his dream to play at the highest level.”
