WASHINGTON DC — A Mid-Michigan Congresswoman is speaking out about the shutdown Friday.
In an exclusive interview with our D.C. Bureau Friday, Elissa Slotkin who represents Lansing, says the president needs to learn how to compromise.
"Responsible actors know how to negotiate and compromise. We all agree we need more border security -- border agents, technology, if you need a fence in a few places put it there -- but this idea that we need to fulfill a campaign promise, let's actually get to work and compromise on something real" said Slotkin.
