EAST LANSING, Mi — The saying goes, you can never have too much of a good thing.
Tell that to golf course employees.
After a record rainfall this spring, workers are scrambling to keep water off the courses.
Too much rain can cause damage on the course, with tire ruts, thick divots and flooding.
"This is the worst we’ve had, we've seen somewhat similar, a lot of days, the course was flooded and couldn't open," said Forest Akers West Operations Manager Jason Edick. "Golfers that had outings scheduled had to reschedule, and with the rain continuing to go into the month of June, this is the worst I've ever seen and we've experienced here on the golf course."
Course employees are hoping the rain can subside, so that they can get the course back to normal and get some more business in the next few months.
