The Food and Drug Administration says Accord Healthcare is recalling some blood pressure medication.
One lot of 12.5 milligram hydrochlorothiazide tablets is affected: Lot PW05264.
The recall was prompted after a pharmacy found a bottle that actually contained another medication called spironolactone.
Both of the drugs can be used to treat high blood pressure, but the latter causes the body to flush out excess water and sodium and store potassium. People who take spironolactone by mistake could experience high levels of potassium as a result.
