LANSING, Mich. (WSYM)- The loud Pro-Obamacare chants of healthcare professionals and providers echoed in the cold air near the state capitol.
Some of the signs said how healthcare is a human right ,and others were reiterating the importance of keeping Obamacare in place.
But every sign was trying to drive this message home.
For one doctor, her commitment went beyond her patients.
"My patients have benefited incredibly from Obamacare. I believe in universal healthcare.
Every American should have access to good care. I want Medicare preserved for all," Dr. Carla Guggenheim said.
The coordinator, Nancy Barnes, and protesters want congress to pay attention.
"We need to take a stand. We need to make sure that our congressmen; our politicians are listening to us, and that they know how important this is...that this affects just about every American no matter their walk of life.
It is important and we need to be able to speak out about it and show our concern for our own healthcare," Nancy Barnes said.
