People trying to save the Scott House and Scott Park Sunken Garden will rally at the Lansing park Wednesday night.

The BWL has proposed plans for a new substation on the site of the park, meaning the garden would be relocated.

The BWL says building the station on the site would cost residents less than finding a new location.

At an earlier rally, Lansing residents said that the BWL's plans could put other local parks at risk.

"It would set a precedent that would endanger every city park in the city of Lansing," said Loretta Stanaway, president of Friends of Lansing Historic Cemetries.

Dale Schrader with Preservation Lansing says that the Sierra Club will be at the rally at 6 p.m. tonight and their efforts to save the park will be increased.
