You may see people donning red noses on Thursday, May 24 for a good cause because it's National Red Nose Day.

The Red Noses raise awareness and money for children experiencing poverty.

Money raised supports programs that keep children safe, healthy, and educated.

If you need to get your nose, they are available at local Walgreen's stores.

Red Nose Day is hosted by Comic Relief Inc. They chose red noses as their symbol to "break down barriers and remind everyone of the power of laughter."

Once you have your red nose, snap a selfie and share it on social media with the hash tag - #RedNoseDay.

Beneficiaries of Red Nose Day grants include charity organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America; charity:water; Children's Health Fund; Feeding America; Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; UnidosUS; Save the Children; and the Global Fund.

And on the evening of May 24, NBC will air special programming to celebrate Red Nose Day.
NBC’s star-studded night of Red Nose Day programming kicks off with the second annual edition of Celebrity Ninja Warrior for Red Nose Day at 8/7c, followed by a special episode of Hollywood Game Night at 9/8c and The Red Nose Day Special at 10/9c.
