EAST LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) -- In many situations nothing really fixes the challenges children with special needs face...especially when it comes to social activities but, Anupama Atre created a summer camp fair.
She has a daughter with cerebral palsy.
She felt like many parents- she wants her child to not have to miss out on fun, so she reached out to Sparrow Pediatric Rehabilitation Department to get the community together.
20 different organizations came together providing parents with information, while the children enjoyed camp activities in another room.
Atre said this is camp is the first of it's kind in the area and she hopes to do it again next year.
