Monday night was the public's turn to sound off about Mayor Virg Bernero's Re-Development Plan For Lansing City Hall.
Most of the crowd for the Monday council meeting was there for the Lansing Catholic High School football players that were being recognized for kneeling during the anthem this past season.
Only two people spoke at the council meeting about the plans, and they wanted to show their opposition to the city hall move.
Both said they hope Lansing will wait until 2018, so the next regime has time to carefully analyze, and look into everything before making a decision to move.
Councilwoman Carol Wood says the redevelopment will cost the taxpayers a lot of money and that there are lots of questions that still need to be answered before the plans can move forward.
The full Council will not be meeting again for the rest of this year, the only way this redevelopment plan could come up is if Mayor Bernero calls for a special meeting next week.
