JACKSON, Mich. — The Michigan Department of Transportation will be hosting a public meeting to discuss improvements on I-94 in Jackson on Monday afternoon.
The meeting will take place at the Blackman Charter Township offices on Parnall Road at 1:30 PM.
Since Summer 2018, MDOT has been doing work on a nine mile stretch of I-94 between M-60 and Sargent Road. The construction project costs $110 million.
Major work is expected to start in March and end in November.
MDOT is also planning construction on the M-60 bridge over I-94 in 2020.
In 2021, MDOT will replace the Lansing Avenue bridge over I-94 and complete reconstruction of the I-94/Elm Road interchange.
Conceptual planning of the I-94/West Avenue interchange is being discussed for future work.
The public is welcome to attend the meeting.
