Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III is expected back in court this afternoon.
He's scheduled for a pre-exam in the 54A District Court in Lansing, but judges in that court won't be hearing his case.
Judges in Ingham County, and now Lansing, have recused themselves from Dunnings' case. A Jackson County judge instead will take over.
The Ingham County Prosecutor is facing 15 criminal charges in connection to prostitution, including pandering which is a felony that could send him to prison for up to 20 years.
He was arraigned last week on all 15 counts announced by Attorney General Bill Schuette.
He says Dunnings paid for sex hundreds of times, trolling escort websites weekly for prostitutes. The women reportedly would meet Dunnings at hotels in the Lansing area.
Schuette claims one of the prostitutes even video taped the sexual act.
The Attorney General also says Dunnings used his position of power to order a woman who came to him for help with a case to have sex with him.
Dunning's pre-exam is scheduled for this afternoon at 1:15 p.m.
Because of his long time legal standing in Mid-Michigan, judges in Ingham County in both Mason and Lansing's 54A District Court are off the case.
Jackson County District Judge Michael Klaeren was assigned to the case.
Dunnings has pleaded not guilty. He has not resigned his seat or spoken publicly yet about the charges against him.
