The blighted corner of Dunckel and Collins roads in Lansing could be getting a major face-lift.

A Florida developer has plans to transform the former hotel into a 286 unit housing complex.

The $52-million project is tailored to meet the housing needs of doctors, nurses and other health professionals at the nearby McLaren health hospital, which is expected to open in 2021.

If approved by the city council in September, construction could start this fall.
