Pride comes to Lansing this weekend

LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Pride Festival, Parade and Rally are this weekend.

The White Party is tonight and tomorrow kicks off with the parade to the capital.

The festival is in old town on Turner Street which will cause some road closures.

Turner Street from Cesar Chavez Avenue to Doge River Drive will be closed.

Clinton Street from Turner Street to Center Street will be closed as well.

Some road closures will also be happening downtown as well.

Parts of Grand Avenue, Shiawasee Street, Ottawa Street and Capitol Avenue will be closed to all traffic.

They roads will be shutting starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday and will re-open around 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon.

The Michigan Pride festival is expected to draw people from across the state for a March, Parade and Rally on the steps of the State Capitol.
