Thousands of people are without power after fast-moving storms moved through mid-Michigan early Thursday morning.

As of 7:15 a.m., Consumers Energy's outage map shows at least 15,000 customers are affected.

Most of the outages occur in the Jackson area and in the southern part of the state in Hillsdale County.

The storms also caused numerous schools to be delayed on Thursday morning.
