LANSING, Mich. — It was an exciting day at Potter Park Zoo on Tuesday.
The zoo has a new baby western grey kangaroo.
The animal is also referred to as a black-faced kangaroo, mallee kangaroo, or sooty kangaroo.
Zookeepers says the adorable and rambunctious Joey has been seen out of its mother's pouch a few times now.
Potter Park Zoo is one of only ten accredited zoos to house western grey kangaroos.
The kangaroos are found throughout western and central mainland Australia.
