LANSING, Mich. — The state is looking at a possible solution to Michigan's medical marijuana shortage.
A proposed rule change would allow dispensaries to buy marijuana from licensed caregivers who grow it at home.
The dispensaries would still have to test it to make sure it's safe.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer's administration is backing the idea.
The state's Marijuana Licensing Board is expected to make a decision at its March 21st meeting.
