A witness reported seeing a man approach a female on foot, grab her by the neck and drag her across the parking lot to a vehicle, according to the Eaton County Sheriff's Office.
The Eaton County Sheriff's Office said the witness was able to get detailed information at the scene, which helped deputies, with the assistance of the Michigan State Police, to identify the suspect and victim.
The Eaton County Sheriff's Office said the victim was located safe a short time later. The sheriff's office said the suspect was also found at a different location and taken into custody.
The victim and suspect knew each other and this was not a random act, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office said the Eaton County Prosecutor's Office will determine if additional charges are needed.
