DELTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — West Saginaw Highway from Creyts to Canal roads is closed to traffic due to a heavy police presence.
When contacted by FOX 47 News and asked about the police presence in the area, Jerri Nesbitt, an Eaton County Sheriff's Office spokesperson, declined comment.
Nesbitt said the sheriff's office is expected to put out a news release later today.
At around 11 a.m. police were seen gathering near Champion Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, just west of the Saginaw-Creyts intersection.
A message posted around 9 a.m. on Eaton County 911's Facebook page said Saginaw was closed between Creyts and Starkweather Drive.
"Responders are on the scene," the post said.
The area of Creyts and Starkweather is just west of Horrocks Farm Market.
